I lost my Pet

Losing a pet is sad for both the owner and the animal. All attempts are made to reunite lost pets whenever possible. If you have lost your pet(s), follow these steps to have the best chance of reuniting. Call your local non emergency police number. Many departments maintain a list of lost pets in case they are found. Check your local shelters. Generally the shelter will call you if they find your pet, however that only works if your pet has identifcation. You can search local shelters in Brown County here. Physically go out and look for your pet. Speak with people walking or out in their yard. Many times the pet hasn't wondered far. Use social media and physical posters. There are many groups online dedicated to just finding lost pets. Let your local Animal Control know. While most are dispatched by the non emergency number, calling them directly allows them to make a note if they see it while in the field.
